Course Overview:

The Advanced Corrosion and Pipeline Integrity course covers management of a variety of types like flow accelerated corrosion, erosion-corrosion, CO2 corrosion and microbiological corrosion among other types of corrosion.

The participants will learn about corrosion mechanisms, electrochemical reactions, water chemistry, corrosion inhibitors, and also the problematic nature of corrosion in contexts like sea water, soil or concrete.

Contemporary advanced corrosion testing techniques are offered in the course including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and scanning probe techniques.

In addition, it gives information on aspects like pipeline integrity management, corrosion modeling, or such various assessments as Pipeline External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA).

The course is tailored for engineers, asset managers and inspection officers responsible for plants and pipelines maintenance which equips them with practical information on material selection, corrosion monitoring and mitigation approaches.
